We are a group of young people who trace back their deep roots to indigenous Nomad tribes of the south and south-eastern Moroccan desert. We and our ancestors used to wander out these boundless barren deserts to seek out water and herbage, or to trade local products.
Our ancestors’ caravans had roamed all over the Sahara world, linking Africa’s South with its Northern Part. The caravans carried North’s goods to be exchanged for South’s. This commercial linking role played a significant part and had a great impact on the way eastern Nomads’ culture was forged, both in its identity and diverse aspects; some kind of a philosophical adherence to nomadic travel-based-life on the one hand, and grasping and respecting of others’.
Travel for Nomads is beyond a mere survival need implied by arduous surroundings. It is some sort of enjoying life in the spiritual sense, as far as travel is the highest form of embracing the unlimited freedom, peace, and the holly-land where dreams, simple and pure ones, come true.
This very corner of the world, the land that an ordinary man should wonder how to inhabit, is the motherland of imagination and spiritual speculation, and no wonder is it whereNomadpoets healthily breathe lively verses and rhymes.
Bearing this heavy history on shoulders, we took the decision to set up our tour agency, YOUR agency, Dakhla Trans Service, in the heart of Dakhla City, which is considered as the Pearl of Sahara and one of the long lasting witnesses on Nomad history in Morocco.
The foundational ideas were born inside the mind of AlaaDerbali in response to the historical responsibility to maintain and protect one of the important building-blocks of Moroccan culture. Conserving Nomad Culture is not only a matter of keeping heritage; it goes beyond as a process of protecting and reviving the values of freedom, coexistence, peace, and diversity.
For this aim, we combine both our rich legacy with a professional well-trained and indigenous team, and put both at your disposal, for you to not only discover, but mainly live the experience of indulging into the Desert.
We also provide you with the opportunity to have a deep look into the other components of Moroccan cultures in the rest of the country, for you to have a clear and complete vision.
It goes without saying that we’re not the only ones to organize tours in Morocco, because there are many. But we can comfortably claim to be the only ones in here to give priority to travel in terms of cultural loads, spiritual aspects and deep closer look to history.
Travel in our terms, is not a mere transition between different places, neither a mere visit, it’s above all, philosophy of being and a special way of living.
