AIR Sefrou has recently acquired Dar Attamani : The House of Hope, which is a Berber-Jewish house estimated to be some 400 years old. Located in the heart of the old medina, it was once the quarters of a Rabbi and now currently serves Sefrou as an artist residency.
Four floors offer visiting artists several communal areas, six spacious bedrooms, top floor and basement studio, a large working kitchen and a terrace with a 360 view of the Middle Atlas Mountains.
Alongside a garden at the back of the house, Dar Attamani is composed of spaces for artists to work and contemplate.
Iraqi glass, carved wooden features and patterned tiles give this house a distinct character and it is said to be one of the most charming houses remaining in the medina of Sefrou.
