Riad Kafila meaning “house of the caravan” has taken its inspiration from Essaouira itself. Once referred to as “the port of Timbuktu,” caravans from all over Africa came here to trade. The riad is a crossroads of cultures where travelers can rest, meet, and exchange stories.

The riad is comprised of three floors and a stunning rooftop terrace with views up and down Essaouira’s scenic coast. The Riad is an oasis of calm only a few minutes from the many restaurants, souks, cafes and shops in the medina, and only five minutes walking from both the harbor and the kilometers of endless sandy beach.
