Ifrane National Park (Parc National D'Ifrane) is located in the Middle Atlas mountain range and spans over 125,000 hectares of the Ifrane province. Created in 2004, and since protected, Ifrane National Park is best known for the symbolic Mediterranean species, the Atlas cedar. However it is also home to a variety of other species of both flora and fauna, not to mention it is one of the only habitats left of the Barbary Macaque.
Within its expansive territory you can find a variety of landscapes, from dry rocky hills to large green fields to mountains covered in trees. It is also a region with the largest water reservoir that funnels water to the lakes, springs, and rivers flowing throughout the region. The landscapes continue to change through out each season, all four of which do occur in the Ifrane province.
